UPDATE: The eastbound lanes of I-90 reopened around 9:30 a.m. after being closed for hours due to a crash.

UPDATE: KIRO 7 reports there were no serious injuries in the early-morning crash that blocked all of eastbound I-90 heading toward Snoqualmie.

UPDATE: The left lane of eastbound I-90 has reopened after a morning crash.

Original story

Eastbound I-90 between Preston and Snoqualmie is blocked by a truck that lost its load of lumber after colliding with another semi-truck Friday morning.

The incident occurred just west of State Route 18 around 4:45 a.m.

All lanes are blocked and there is no estimate of how long this will take to clean up.

Memorial Day Weekend traffic: What to know for the road

Vehicles are being diverted off I-90 via the SR 18 off-ramp and then back on to I-90.

It’s poor timing for those heading east for Memorial Day weekend, including for those heading out for the Sasquatch! Music Festival.

“With only that one lane open it’s going to start backing up, especially with people starting to head out for the weekend,” WSDOT spokesperson Nicole Daniels said. “Just plan for extra delays.”

There are injuries, but it is unclear how many people were hurt or the severity of the injuries.
