All-ages crowd at Neumos gets tequila from Jenny Durkan

Former U.S. Attorney Jenny Durkan is catching heat for what she did during a forum and talent show for Seattle’s mayoral candidates.

Durkan did an impersonation of White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer during the show at Neumos on Capitol Hill, during which she tossed mini bottles of tequila into the crowd. The problem is not everybody in that crowd was 21.

Durkan’s reps have apologized, saying the campaign mistakenly believed it was a 21-and-over event.

But Durkan’s mistakes didn’t end there. The Seattle Times reports that while she was impersonating Spicer, she said “colored person.” A judge reminded her after she was done said she should have said “person of color,” according to the Times. Durkan apologized.

The event was hosted by The Washington Bus and The Stranger.
