Admit it, you wanted OJ to go free

It’s OK, you’re not alone. Thursday’s parole hearing felt like a flashback to the 1995 reading of O.J.’s not guilty verdict.
Except this time, I believe most of us wanted to see him go free. Only O.J. could supplant Donald Trump on CNN’s breaking news coverage. He is one of the few people in the world everyone has a strong opinion about. There was not one, but two hit shows based on his life released last year. We can’t get enough of the story of the Orenthal James Simpson.
Only for the last nine years, the story hasn’t moved forward. O.J. has been in jail after a horribly botched armed robbery.
But, admit it, you want to see what happens next. O.J. is free. The Juice is loose. And the next chapter will be fascinating. Will he be shunned? Who will score the first interview? Will he get a reality show? Will he commit another crime? You want to know, don’t you? Don’t be ashamed. I do too.
October 1, the next chapter of one of the most compelling stories in American history begins.
