What do you think of your boss?

Silicon Alley Insider has put together a chart that shows the approval ratings employees have for various CEOs at major tech companies. It’s clear Apple employees love Steve Jobs. Microsofties adoring Steve Ballmer? Not so much.

The chart is based on data from Glassdoor.com. Of the big techies, Steve Jobs is the most-favored CEO followed by Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook (he’ll be on 60 Minutes Sunday talking about “The Social Network” for teh first time) and Eric Schmidt of Google.

This information is based on employee surveys, which made me wonder if there are many local CEOs workers would say they love.

Who is the most beloved Seattle CEO? Probably Jeff Bezos at Amazon.com. although I hear he’s pretty intense. Howard Schultz gets a lot of respect from his Starbucks “partners” as employees are called, but that whole Sonics saga still leaves a bitter taste for some. Boeing’s CEO took the company headquarters to Chicago. I’m struggling to think of CEOs we love in the Northwest. Any suggestions?

Employee surveys that show Jobs is the apple of employees’ eyes are backed up by a report earlier this year from Barron’s which labeled Jobs the “world’s most valuable CEO.”
