Parka Party raises almost $5 grand

It started as one woman’s simple idea during last week’s snowy, icy, cold days. Donate money to a local food bank, and she’ll photoshop your Twitter or Facebook profile picture to look as though you’re wearing a big yellow parka.
The Parka Party spread through social media and raised a grand total of $4,745 for 15 local food banks and non-profits in Washington.
