Biggest support for Murray, Rossi
Senator Patty Murray has won re-election thanks to the latest ballot counts from King County. Challenger Dino Rossi called Murray tonight to concede , after the new count gave them a separation of about 45,000 votes.
It’s interesting to look at which counties showed the most support Murray and Rossi the most love.
Murray was expected to be strongest in King County. That’s where she has claimed 63% of the vote, compared with Rossi’s 37%. The county throwing the most support behind Murray is San Juan, where she’s grabbed 65% of the vote.
Rossi’s largest percentage of votes came in Adams County, where he has 73% of the vote compared with Murray’s 27% there. Adams County is in Eastern Washington and the two major cities there are Ritzville and Othello, about an hour from Spokane. He also picked up 71% of the vote in Garfield County.
Two counties are evenly split. Kitsap and Pierce Counties are 50-50 on the candidates.
