They want a war and guess who they want to fight it?

Listen to Dave Ross Commentary:

The latest WikiLeaks dump of State Department documents reveals something I know will shock you: that diplomats say one thing in public, and something different in private!

Top Republican on the House Intelligence committee Pete Hoekstra says this will be catastrophic to our relations with other nations:

“They’re just going to wonder-Can the US be trusted? Can the United States keep a secret.”

I know who REALLY wishes we could keep a secret — Arab countries — countries which are remarkably quiet in public about Iran’s nuclear program — but turn out to be secretly on the side of Israel in wanting US to take it out.

And they are so sanctimonious! In one of the cables the King of Saudi Arabia in 2005 scolds us for unseating Saddam and turning Iraq over to the same branch of Islam that runs Iran, “Handing it over on a golden platter,” he says, which may be true, but coming from the Saudis? Whose Wahabbi brand of Islam inspires most of the terrorist nut cases in the world? Give us a break!

And then we read members of the Saudi Royal want us to fix it by attacking Iran, as do the governments of Egypt, Bahrain, and Abu Dhabi — Abu Dhabi’s crown prince even says if air strikes aren’t enough enough to “take out” Iranian nuclear targets, we should send in American ground forces.

So along with everything else, These guys want us to settle the age-old feud between Arabs and Persians! I guess we should be flattered.

The cables reveal just how these countries see us — we’re the Middle East’s fire department. The only fire department whose clients are the arsonists themselves.
