What’s the REAL choice

Listen to Dave Ross commentary:
In last night’s debate between famous TEA party candidate Christine O’Donnell, and not so famous candidate Chris Coons what did we learn:
We learned that as County executive, Chris Coons protected bond ratings:
“Newcastle County has a surplus which has made it possible for us to continue to have a AAA bond rating.”
We learned O’Donnell was not impressed by his bond ratings:
“You inherited that good rating.”
Take that!
“Miss O’Donnell’s not familiar with how bond ratings work.”
Take THAT! O’Donnell — how would you cut the federal budget?
“Cancel the unspent stimulus bill, put a hiring freeze on non-security personnel, and then we’ve got to talk about waste, fraud and abuse.”
Coons — lets see YOU cut the budget
“A series of reductions, some of them are in agricultural price supports, some of them are in federal office space.”
And after the debate CBS Correspondent Nancy Cordes talked to the students in the audience:
“They said they really came away with a poor impression of both candidates. They thought that she was too vague, and that the Democrat Chris Coons was condescending.”
Hmmm… vague, versus condescending.
You see, the audience doesn’t come away from a debate saying — well, I think a hiring freeze on non security personnel would be far superior to agricultural price support adjustments. No! They think stuff like “vague versus condescending.”
The parties should change their names to reflect what the VOTERS see. How about the Vacuous Party versus the Pompous Party.
The Vacs versus the Pomps. That we can understand.
