We knew a lot of money was being pumped into the 2010 election in our state, mainly because of six controversial initiatives on the ballot. The Secretary of State’s office breaks down the current spending.
Initiative campaigns have raised $60.2 million and so far have spent $41.6 million of that amount.
Legislative campaigns have collected $21.5 million and candidates in those races have spent $15.7 million.
In the judicial races, candidates have raised $2.3 million and spent $1.8 million.
For county and municipal races, about $4.8 million has been taken in with $3.7 million spent.
