Boeing earnings preview

Boeing will report its third quarter earnings tomorrow morning before the market opens, and analysts are optimistic.

Looking at several analysts who follow the Boeing company and its stock, the range for earnings is between $0.91 and $1.21, and between $16.09 billion $17.25 billion for revenue. The most likely expectation is earnings per share of $1.05 on revenue of $16.72 billion. Looking

The company reported mixed earnings in the second quarter, beating their earnings per share estimates, but missing the revenue projection.

During the last conference call, Boeing said it expects higher revenue in 2011 than 2010. Despite the economy, Boeing’s shares have gained nearly 17 percent since August. Most of that is due to new orders.

Boeing stock closed today at 69.05, down 1.18 for the day. Overall it was a rough day for stocks with the Dow average losing 165 points, to close at 10,978. The Nasdaq was off 43, at 2,436, and the S&P 500 lost a little over 18 points to close at 1,165.
