We now know when Microsoft’s retail store will open in Bellevue Square. In time for the holiday season, they’ve set an opening date for November 18th.

This will be just the seventh Microsoft store in the world. Their news release says they plan to sell “hundreds of products including the latest PC’s running Windows 7, Xbox’s Kinect and Windows Phone 7.”

Leading up to the grand opening, Microsoft plans donate up to $1,000,000 in software grant donations to the two local organizations:

First Robotics which inspires students to find their passion in the world of science and technology through organizing team based robotics competitions and connecting K-12 students with mentors in the engineering profession.

Study Zone an after school program offered at local Seattle-area libraries. The money will help upgrade computer study rooms, where K-12 students can receive free computer training and access to online tutors in math, science, English and social studies.
