Microsoft a top giver to Murray

Microsoft is one of the top contributors to the U.S. Senate campaigns of both incumbent Democrat Patty Murray and challenger Republic Dino Rossi.
In a profile of the the Senate race in our state, The New York Times calculates that Microsoft has given about 10 times more to Murray’s campaign as of the end of July — $131,375 compared with $13,400 to Rossi.
As of the end of June, Murray had raised more than $7 million, while Rossi had $1.8 million.
