Boeing plans a rally Monday in Everett for employees and politicians as they try to win the U.S Air Force refueling tanker contract.
It’s a big deal. The Air Force contract is worth about $35 billion, and Boeing plans to base its tanker on the Everett-built 767 commercial airplane frame.
Boeing Commercial President and CEO Jim Albaugh will be among those at the Monday 9:30 a.m. rally.

The Air Force is expected to award the contract in November. Rival Airbus has a version of the tanker based on a modified A330 jet.
