Senator Patty Murray was tweeting up a storm over gender equality in wages on Wednesday.

The president was pushing this phony issue of gender equality because he says women are getting 77 cents for every dollar a man earns. Then we find out that the president is a horrible offender and that in the White House, women earn 88 cents for every dollar that the male White House staffers earn.
But listen to this. Senator Patty Murray starts tweeting about gender equality because the Republicans said look we’re not going to go forward with this. So she tweeted:
This isn't over. We aren't going to let GOP off the hook on #PaycheckFairness. Time for them to give women a #fairshot at #EqualPay. -PM

It’s time for Republicans to give women a fair shot at equal pay, Patty Murray said. So we did a little research. I was curious – how do the female Patty Murray staffers do compared to the male Patty Murray staffers?
It turns out, one of the worst offenders in the entire United States Senate on gender pay is Senator Patty Murray from Washington.
According to a 2012 report, female members of Patty Murray’s staff on average made about $21,000 less per year than her male staffers. That is a difference of 34 percent. In other words, the female Patty Murray staffers make 66 cents for every dollar that the male Patty Murray staffers make.
The hypocrisy of people like Patty Murray, who pay their women so much less than the national average – and she has the audacity to send out that tweet: “We aren’t going to let GOP off the hook on #PaycheckFairness. Time for them to give women a #fairshot at #EqualPay.”
When are you going to give women on your staff a fair shot at equal pay, senator? We’re not going to let you off the hook on your hypocrisy.
