The Twitter buzz about the Seahawks is positive following the draft, and a lot of it is coming from Coach Carroll.

Pete tweets “Couldn’t be more pleased w/how things went this wknd! It all came together just perfectly… Really exciting time for us!”

He also uploaded this Twitpic, courtesy Rod Mar, who maintains the Seahawks official Twitter feed SeahawksSpin.

Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck is fired up too. He writes “Spoke w @PeteCarroll on the phone– might be the only guy more excited about this draft than I am. #comPETE!”

We’ve been told there will be some announcement about Walter Jones this week. Likely, the offensive tackle’s retirement. His latest message via Twitter this weekend is a bit mysterious. “America lives in the heart of every man everywhere who wishes to find a region where he will be free to work out his destiny as he chooses.”

Hmmmm…..

Maybe this really is our year – Super Bowl for the Hawks, and World Series for the Mariners. What da ya think?
