Seattle’s sick South Shore school

The Seattle Public Schools website detailing all the air quality tests that have been done on South Shore is up here.
South Shore is the brand new school closed a week ago, and through the rest of the year, while they try to locate the source of a smell that’s been making kids sick.
The latest report, posted yesterday, indicates they’ve at least pin pointed where the odor is coming from. They say “the odor was present in two classrooms and was strongest between the carpets and concrete floor.”
They’re still testing materials from various classrooms. Meanwhile, school resumes for South Shore kids. Younger students will go to nearby Columbia Elementary. 7th and 8th graders are going to Rainer Beach High School starting Monday. I’d be nervous going to a high school at that age, but then again I went to a small K-12 (yes, really) school.
Good luck kids (and parents)!
