I’m excited to announce that this Daily Dose of Kindness comes from every driver’s best friend Chris Sullivan. My morning show co-host jumped on the kindness bandwagon and sent me a sports-related story.

It’s about the quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, Andy Dalton. He threw a game-winning touchdown pass to secure his team’s playoff berth. By doing so, he knocked the Ravens out of playoff contention and became a hero in Buffalo, New York. That’s because by knocking out the Ravens, the Buffalo Bills will make their first playoffs in 17 years.
As a thank you, CBS News reports Buffalo fans are donating to Dalton’s charity in $17 increments.
“To have the support from a completely different city and a fan base that’s not even associated with us and also a team that we did beat this year, too … so I think it’s pretty crazy the support that we’ve gotten from it,” Dalton told CBS.
Dalton’s charity helps families with children who have special needs. He says 7,000 individual donors – presumably all Bills fans – have given $170,000 so far.
