Driver shot on I-5 in Seattle during suspected road rage incident

A man was shot while driving on northbound I-5 in South Seattle in what police are calling a road rage incident.

The victim was shot in the leg just after 6 a.m. on Wednesday. He drove himself to Harborview Medical Center.

The victim told detectives that it all started near Boeing Access Road. The suspect vehicle cut in front of the victim’s and slammed on the brakes.

That behavior continued until they reached Michigan Street. The suspect vehicle pulled to the left of the victim, at which time the passenger window rolled down and two shots were fired.

The suspect vehicle exited to Michigan Street, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The victim described the suspect vehicle as a dark gray or teal Toyota sedan with two Seahawk stickers on the side of the vehicle. The description of the driver was a black male wearing a black jacket and beanie cap.
