When fringe Progressive activists don’t get their way in Seattle, they have a tendency to get act out like children. Sometimes it comes in the form of laborious protests blocking traffic and insufferable chanting of songs that barely rhyme. But now it’s dangerous: now they’re using Molotov cocktails.

REPORT: Head tax supporters create ‘boycott list’

According to multiple reports, the site of the future Seattle youth jail was targeted by attempted arson via Molotov cocktails that failed to explode. (These activists don’t have a high rate of success it seems.)

The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday morning near 13th and Remington where an off-duty police officer heard four bottles land near portable construction offices. Seattle Fire arrived to put out a small fire, though four bottles didn’t explode.

Seattle police say, “Detectives from the Arson and Bomb Squad are now poring over the evidence and asking anyone with information to call 206-684-8980.”

The violent rhetoric coming from the Left is finally starting to manifest itself into actual violence. And, in many cases, local leaders are either egging it on (calling Trump a fascist and Amazon extortionists) or staying silent (enabling this kind of behavior from their base of voters).

It’s one thing to be a pain-in-the-ass and block traffic. We get that you feel your cause is more important than people getting to their jobs on time or a single mother getting to the soccer field to pick up her kid from practice.

But when you turn to this kind of violence that can seriously harm someone – or worse – you’ve overstayed your welcome in Seattle. I only wish Progressive voices would join me in what should be a bipartisan cause; rejecting dangerous, violent, ideological outrages. Most Progressives agree with me: the violence serves no one but can hurt many. Let’s join forces here and call this behavior out.
