EPA, NJ announce $588M in water infrastructure spending

Federal and state officials unveiled more than a half a billion dollars in federal and state low-interest loans to finance some nearly 30 drinking and surface water infrastructure projects around New Jersey, including the North Church Street Water Treatment Plant in Moorestown, N.J., Friday, May 20, 2022. The Moorestown plant received about $20 million in funds. The plant had been shut almost six years ago because of contamination concerns, according to Moorestown Mayor Nicole Gillespie, but reopened recently because of the funding.
