Washington state could soon see 40-cent dip in gas prices
Tech_Transplant writes: "I was just down visiting ritzy Naples FL, where a gallon of gasoline was only $2.47... a full $1 less expensive than the Seattle area. That's despite FL having gasoline taxes only 8 cents less per gallon than WA. The difference seems to be that FL (and most of the Southeast) has a substantially better gasoline supply chain (more refinery capacity nearby) and fewer regulations about allowable fuel blends. If you drive a lot or operate other motorized vehicles (RV, boat, etc), it works out to a substantial difference in operating expenses."
