A 12-story hotel will sit in the shadow of the Rainier Tower and the new 58-story skyscraper that will tower over it. Ground breaking is expected to begin next year on a 58-story tower and adjacent 12-story hotel at Rainier Square. The tower would soar 850 feet into the sky, second in height only to the nearby Columbia Tower.
