Jerome Hunter, co-founder of Seattle School for Boys, focuses on creating an educational environment where boys and young men can learn and grow outside of a traditional curriculum. This Ballard high school teacher works tirelessly to motivate and mentor young people.
He volunteers with non-profits, coaches girls’ basketball, all with the intent of living a life to inspire respect among boys and girls in the community. Because of this, KIRO Radio and WSECU are proud to honor Jerome as a Hometown Hero and award him with $2,000 for his selfless dedication to improving the lives of young people in the Seattle area.
If you know someone who invests in their hometown, nominate them to be a Hometown Hero here.
