Dori: Media treatment of Antifa is proof the left has gone nuts

There was a Patriot Prayer rally in Seattle this past weekend, and Antifa was out in force. Now, I’ve had Patriot Prayer founder Joey Gibson on my show before. If I truly thought Joey Gibson was a Nazi or a white supremacist, I would not give him a platform. But I’ve vetted the guy and watched hours of his videos, and I can find nothing to support that. What he actually is, I think, is an agitator. I think he likes putting on these events to bring out crowds of Antifa. Antifa, like the rest of the far left these days, is completely crazy — if you are anywhere to the right of Bernie Sanders, you are called a Nazi.

Let’s talk about what we know about Antifa. A week ago, there was an Antifa rally down in Portland. A man stood there carrying an American flag. In a YouTube video, you can see that a bunch of Antifa guys tried to rip the flag out of his hands because they said it was a symbol of Fascism. One of the Antifa guys hit the flag-carrying guy over the head with a baseball bat.

According to the Oregonian, the flag-carrier was a self-described “Bernie bro.” He wanted to show that the left could use the flag every bit as well people on the right. And for that, Antifa cracked his skull open with a baseball bat.

Now as I said, Patriot Prayer is getting exactly what they want. They go down there, they don’t initiate any violence, and they get Antifa to look like the violent ones — which they are, by the way. I don’t understand why Patriot Prayer members choose to be agitators, but they’re free to do so.

But the fact that Antifa is being held up as counter-protesters when they’re the ones committing all of the violence is so wrong. I’m sick and tired of the left, and especially the media, continuously calling groups on the right Nazis and white supremacists when there’s no evidence to support that. The media does not, in any way, characterize accurately what the source of the violence is, and that is the far left. Seattle media has done a horrible job of fairly characterizing the things that are happening in the Northwest.

And in national media too, I don’t know that I’ve ever seen such a collective freak-out by what is considered mainstream media, writers, and even politicians. Trump derangement syndrome has gotten so bad in America among the people who are prominent in the media and in politics. For example, can you imagine if a Republican member of Congress got up and told a joke about Barack Obama dying? But Florida Rep. Alcee Hastings did just that at a rally this past weekend. What we’re seeing here is that there is some mental derangement that is happening with a huge part of the population these days.
