Undercover cops dressed as opposing fans will again patrol CenturyLink Field this season to prevent unruly 12s from getting out of hand.

The Seahawks confirmed Wednesday the team has again contracted with the Seattle Police Department for off-duty officers to help enforce its “Fan Code of Conduct.”

The undercover officers work with security and game day staff to “quickly detect fans exhibiting unruly and inconsiderate behavior,” the team said in a statement. These behaviors include the following:

-Disruptive or illegal in nature

-Intoxication or other signs of alcohol or substance

-Impairment that results in irresponsible behavior

-Foul or abusive language or obscene gestures

-Interference with the progress of the game (including throwing objects onto the field)

-Failing to follow instructions of stadium personnel

-Verbal or physical harassment of opposing team fans

-Verbal or physical harassment of stadium guests and staff members

-Smoking or tobacco use on CenturyLink Field property

Fans who violate the code get tossed from the stadium and face possible revocation of their ticket privileges.

Those fans who get kicked out of the stadium are required to complete a four-hour online course focused on fan behavior before they are allowed to return to the stadium. The course costs $75.

The teams says fans who try to return to CenturyLink Field without authorization will be reported to the Seattle Police Department and issued a criminal complaint as a “defiant trespasser.”
