Forecasters say days of heavy rainfall have increased the threat of landslides in Western Washington.

Rains that began midweek are forecast to continue through the weekend, putting extra pressure on steep hillsides and unstable bluffs for days — even after rainfall ends.

Several homes in Brinnon, Wash. are under water. Three people were rescued from a flooded pickup truck Friday morning on the road near the Duckabush River. No injuries were reported.

A flood watch remains in effect for Grays Harbor, Clallam, Jefferson, Skagit, Whatcom, Mason, Pierce, and Snohomish counties through late Friday night.

Forecasters say the weather should turn drier Tuesday in Washington.
