If we had an attorney general who was at all worth the oath of his office, he would protect all of the citizens of this state. But Attorney General Bob Ferguson will only protect the liberals of Washington state. No matter how violent, how egregious their crimes, Bobby Ferguson will continue to protect them.
This is really an ‘I-Told-You-So,’ because I was the first person in Seattle media to tell everyone that then-director of the Seattle Department of Transportation Scott Kubly was either a horribly incompetent man who was way too far in over his head, or a criminal. There is no other explanation for Scott Kubly.
Now we’re hearing that the project that Scott Kubly and Ed Murray made their pet project — the streetcar line from Westlake to Pioneer Square — is now over $100 million over budget. They originally said they could get it done for $150 million. Now it’s up to $252 million.

Scott Kubly bilked the taxpayers out of millions of dollars with the Pronto! bike share company. Then he got a six-figure job with — guess who? — Pronto! When he got fired from SDOT for his incompetence, he left behind this streetcar project.
Either Scott Kubly is a criminal mastermind who engineered millions of dollars in the Pronto Bike Share rip-off, hundreds of millions of dollars in the streetcar rip-off, and has political protection from our horrible attorney general. Or, Scott Kubly was that incompetent, and his boss either could not or would not oversee it. Were there kickbacks on the side for them going $100 million over budget?
Tell me what you think. Do you believe that Scott Kubly is a criminal who should go to prison for engineering this $100 million rip-off of the Seattle taxpayers? Or do you believe there is some other possible rational explanation that should keep Scott Kubly a free man, out making six figures with the bikeshare program?
This streetcar scam is just one item in a long line of over-budget transportation projects. Sound Transit is already billions over budget in its train lines to the Eastside, north to Lynnwood, and south to Federal Way.
The Democratic Party around here has used transportation as their own personal ATM.
