Seattle police responded to reports of a shooting in the city’s Greenwood neighborhood early Wednesday afternoon.

SPD reported that officers arrived at the scene to find a man in 30s laying on the ground with a single gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.

SPD also told KIRO 7 TV’s Alison Grande that the shooting does not appear to be random.

Reports of the shooting surfaced around 12:45 p.m. in the 300 block of North 125th Street. Officers searched for a suspect near the 1900 block of Northwest 89th Street in Crown Hill, and are advised those in the area to stay indoors.

The search was said to be “winding down” around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday.

On Thursday morning, detectives served a warrant on a residence connected to the case. The suspect remains at large, with his whereabouts unknown.
