Did you laugh at Governor Jay Inslee’s dorky and bizarre scooter video on Twitter? Well, the joke’s on you! The video ad catapulted Inslee to a commanding 1 percent of support in the latest Morning Consult poll, which puts him only 38 percent behind front-runner Joe Biden as he lands at the 16th best performing candidate!
Folks, this is a game changer!
The video, which has been pinned on Twitter, shows Inslee, without a helmet (they couldn’t find one big enough to fit his head?) riding a scooter (for the first time?) while touting electric energy, as he embarks on his #Delusion2020 presidential campaign.

The ad doesn’t actually make sense.
“We need to have our transportation system run on electricity,” Inslee says before declaring “clean energy: it’s the future!”
His plan calls for mandating electric cars, not scooters. Shouldn’t he have been driving in an electric car to make the message? Perhaps they only had enough campaign contributions to cover the rental of a scooter, and not a car.
Beyond that, scooters, electric or not, have no significant role to play in the future of transportation. Inslee doesn’t ride scooters anywhere; neither do his staff members.
But who am I to analyze? Time and time again, Inslee has shown he is the only underdog with a shot at the presidency, constantly earning 0-1 percent support in the national and early primary state polls. Based on the latest numbers — or, the post-scooter bump — he may be riding that thing all the way to the White House!
