The Department of Justice has widened its investigation into Boeing and is now looking beyond the 737 MAX to the 787 Dreamliner.

The Seattle Times reports that federal prosecutors have now issued subpoenas for records relating to the 787 Dreamliner.

While the 737 is made in Renton, the Dreamliner is made in South Carolina, where workers have complained of defective manufacturing, debris left on planes and pressure not to report safety violations. The Times notes that is not known if the subpoenas for the 787 are from the same prosecutors who are looking into the 737 MAX. Subpoenas were issued to both the company and employees.

An earlier New York Times investigation revealed a culture at the 10-year-old North Charleston plant that often valued production speed over quality.

Prosecutors are already investigating the development of the 737 MAX and whether its safety certification was rushed. There were two fatal crashes of the 737 within a year. Early investigations have focused on a malfunction of the planes’ MCAS system that forces a plane’s nose downward.
