We are in for a very busy weekend on our roadways!
Washington State Department of Transportation publishes the best times to travel over I-90, North and South I-5 from Tacoma to Olympia, Hwy 2 and around the Canadian border. Here are the charts.
Expect to see some long wait times at the ferry terminals early on Friday.
Drivers headed over I-90 Snoqualmie Pass will see lane restrictions from the summit of the pass to Cle Elum.
If you are planning to stick around town, there are a few things happening that will make traffic difficult.
All weekend expect to see delays on SR 522 and Hwy 2 for the Evergreen State Fair in Monroe. Friday is the start of Bumbershoot at Seattle Center, PAX at the Washington State Convention Center, and the first day of the Washington State Fair the Puyallup Fairgrounds.
Washington State Fair adds metal detectors, beefs up security
The University of Washington Huskies take on the Eastern Washington Eagles at 12 p.m. on Saturday at Husky Stadium.
The Seattle Sounders take on the LA Galaxy at Century Link Field at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
The level of difficulty of returning on Monday will all depend on how the weather holds up.
I have you covered every 10 minutes on the threes for your return home. Have a great holiday weekend. If you have any questions or need some help planning your routes, reach out to me on my social platforms. Twitter: @tracyttraffic or on Facebook at Tracy Taylor Traffic.
