Shorecrest High School was in a precautionary lockdown for several hours on Monday while police investigated a pair of students who brought ammunition to school.
No weapons were found on campus and the lockdown was lifted just before 3 p.m.
Shorecrest’s lockdown entailed the locking of all windows and classroom doors while students remain in classrooms. No one was permitted to enter or leave the school. Two explosive detection dogs conducted a sweep of the campus.
Shorecrest High School is in the Shoreline School District.
Initially, neighboring Kellogg Middle School was on lockout, with all exterior doors secured, no one moving in or out, but “normal operations and learning continued within the school.” That lockout has since been lifted.
Shoreline Police have been on both campuses investigating.
