A person connected to Bothell High School has tested negative for coronavirus.

Two new cases of coronavirus in Washington state

The scare prompted the high school to close on Thursday and Friday. School will reopen on Monday, March 2.

A staff member at the school who returned to work from international travel, reported that a family member traveling with them became sick, according to a letter to Northshore School District families.

The staff member is being quarantined at home for 14 days.

Washington lawmakers propose budget increase to combat coronavirus

School workers have been disinfecting the entire school while it is closed.

The district said it is contacting the families of students, and visitors who came in contact with the staff member Monday.
