This storm could bring rain, mountain snow, and cold temperatures starting Friday. The NWS is also predicting strong winds and the chance for lowland snow in some spots Friday and Saturday.
WSDOT is preparing its plows in Eastern Washington.
Welp… the "s-word" is back in the forecast for the end of the week. That means we are preparing trucks once again for snow. In Western Washington, expect dangerous mountain travel in the Cascades throughout the weekend. Sub-freezing temperatures will creep into the region starting Saturday, affecting vulnerable populations, plants, pets, and pipes, according to NWS predictions.
Snow accumulations are currently expected to remain light, if any, but there is a chance for a rain-snow mix, mostly north of Seattle.

If there’s no snow, there is a strong possibility of rain, though NWS Seattle does not expect flooding.
