How to get pet food, supplies during stay-at-home order

Until at least April 6, all Washingtonians have been ordered to stay home to slow the spread of COVID-19.

So how do you get more dog food or cat treats to keep your favorite furry friend happy?

There are several online options and more local pet stores are offering curbside pickup.

All the Best Pet Care

All the Best Pet Care offers online ordering with in-store pickup and curbside delivery, plus online ordering for delivery. Most stores open Monday-Saturday 10am-7pm and Sunday 10am-6pm. Check here for locations and hours.

Chewy

Chewy is offering 1-2 day shipping on orders over $49. However, a message on Chewy.com reports: “Due to high demand, current delivery times are running considerably longer than usual on food and supplies. Stay well and thanks for choosing us.” Chewy also has information about taking care of your pets.

Darwin’s Natural Pet Products

Based in Tukwila, Wash., Darwin’s offers home delivery of raw pet food for cats and dogs, and natural treats. Delivery is free and pet owners can customize their order or modify their subscription at any time.

Mud Bay

Curbside pickup is available at all Mud Bay Pet Supply locations. “Call In Your Order to Your Neighborhood Mud Bay and We’ll Bring It Right to Your Car.” Store hours: Monday-Friday (11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.), Saturday – Sunday (9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.). Check here for store locations.

Petco

Curbside pickup is available in select locations. Order online for in-store pickup and check your email for instructions and availability. All stores remain open with reduced hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to allow for increased cleaning and restocking. Check here for information about veterinary services and grooming.

Pet Smart

Available in select markets: Place an order online and get it delivered the same day! Curbside pickup is also available; order online for in-store pickup. Then, once you arrive at the store parking lot, please call and select option “0” from the menu. Provide your name, make, model and color of your vehicle, and an associate will promptly bring your purchase to your vehicle.

Store hours of operation are 9 a.m. ‐ 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. ‐ 7 p.m. on Sundays.
