Apr 11, 2020, 7:18 AM | Updated: Oct 8, 2024, 7:00 am

On Saturday’s edition of the COVID-19: Seattle podcast with KIRO Radio’s Dave Ross and Aaron Granillo, models predict that the United States will hit the peak need of hospital and medical resources today, April 11, 2020.

Granillo takes us inside Washington state’s coronavirus command center at Camp Murray.

Dr. Stephen Anderson, an emergency room physician in Auburn, Wash., tells us what it’s like to work in his hospital right now, caring for more coronavirus patients than at any other point during this crisis.

And how much longer will the pandemic go on?

The model from the University of Washington’s Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation has quickly become the national standard for predicting the future of the coronavirus outbreak in the United States. Ross asks Dr. Ali Mokdad how we can end this.
