The Seahawks sent their condolences to the family of a 7-year-old Seahawks fan who lost her battle with brain cancer.

Avery Huffman of Auburn, who caught the hearts of Seattle WR Doug Baldwin and Hollywood actress Kristen Bell, among many others, died Tuesday morning from the brain cancer Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, according to her father, Brandon Huffman.

Brandon Huffman wrote on his most recent journal entry on Avery’s care page: “While our hearts are broken here on earth, we rejoice that Avery is no longer in pain, no longer is suffering, is walking, is running, is waving both her arms, can see clearly with both of her eyes and is in the kingdom of God. She is healed and she is cancer free.”

After Brandon shared his daughter’s touching story last summer, it caught on around the city and country. Bell called Avery in character as Princess Anna from the movie “Frozen,” while Baldwin visited Avery’s elementary school in November, giving her a hug and swapping wristbands.

Baldwin took to Twitter to express his condolences.
