Four arrested Monday during demonstration in Seattle’s Capitol Hill

Four arrests were made by Seattle police Monday night during a demonstration in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.
The Seattle Police Department reports that around 8 p.m., officers witnessed members of a demonstration damage an ATM in the 1600 block of Broadway. The group continued on and smashed windows of a Starbucks at 12th Avenue and Columbia. At that time, police moved in and made three arrests — one for property damage, and two for obstructing a law enforcement officer.

More property damage to businesses and residences followed, and a fourth person was arrested for property damage before the group returned to Cal Anderson Park.
All four individuals arrested were booked into King County Jail.
