Starting Monday, you can pick up your favorite Girl Scout cookies inside local QFC stores.

Opinion: Parents shouldn’t sell their daughter’s Girl Scout cookies for them

QFC spokesperson Tiffany Sanders told KIRO Radio that 100% of the proceeds from cookie sales will go back to local troops.

“This an exclusive partnership with the Girl Scouts and QFC for Western Washington. So all of our Western Washington locations will have the Girl Scout cookies — we’ll have them in bins by the register, and you’ll see them throughout the store,” Sanders said.

In-person cookie sales this year have been canceled due to the pandemic, though some Girl Scouts have been able to sell the beloved yearly treats online through digital cookie booths.

“The Girl Scouts themselves will not be in stores selling the cookies, but they are going to decorate some posters and they are going to do some fun things on social media,” Sanders said about the partnership with QFC.

The Girl Scouts rely on the money earned from cookie sales each year to pay for activities, as well as programs like summer camps and other outings.

QFC to close two Seattle locations, blames city’s grocery worker hazard pay ordinance

Sanders says hopefully being able to sell the cookies at QFC will help the scouts make up for lost money.
