Detectives are investigating after a man was shot and killed in Seattle’s Lake City neighborhood on Sunday night.

Just after 10 p.m. Sunday, police responded to a shooting near 33rd Avenue Northeast and Northeast 130th Street. There was one victim reported at the time.

The shooting has been classified as a homicide.

“This evening, just after 10 p.m., a resident who lives in an apartment building here in the 12700 block of 33rd Avenue Northeast was returning to his apartment building when a vehicle drove by and multiple suspects opened fire, striking the victim. The victim made it inside the apartment,” said PIO Detective Valerie Carson at the scene.

Seattle Fire Department and Seattle police officers and attempted life-saving measures. The victim, a 28-year-old man, was declared dead at the scene.

“One other victim was struck by a bullet, just a very small graze wound — he did not need to be treated at the hospital for it. But that went into one of the apartments,” Carson said.

The suspects have not yet been found.

Members of SPD’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to collect evidence and document the scene. Homicide Detectives responded and are investigating. If you have any information about this incident, call the Violent Crimes Tip Line at 206-233-5000.
