Dow Constantine leads in race for King County Executive

Dow Constantine is leading in the race for King County Executive in the primary election with 51.89% of the vote, followed most closely by Joe Nguyen with 32.57%.

Trailing behind Constantine and Nguyen is Bill Hirt with 10.86% of the vote, followed by Goodspaceguy (2.76%), and Johnathon Crines (1.48%).

For the first time since he took office in 2009, incumbent King County Executive Dow Constantine is facing a prominent reelection challenge from a fellow Democrat, state Sen. Joe Nguyen.

Constantine’s past election challengers have primarily been Republicans, including his most recent opponent in 2017, Bill Hirt, who lost then by a wide 77% to 22% margin, and is running again in 2021.
