A major water main break closed off a few blocks of Tukwila Parkway.

At 1:21 a.m., Tukwila firefighters were dispatched to a broken water main at Andover Park West and Tukwila Parkway near Westfield Southcenter Mall.

Firefighters said it is a significant break and the intersection will be closed until repairs can be made.

Power was out for some in the area, but Puget Sound Energy said it has since been restored.

Tukwila Public Works is at the scene. City officials said the road will need to be patched.

Crews are pumping out the water, which as of 5:30 a.m. was starting to slowly recede.
