Off duty police officer arrested for vehicular homicide in Seattle

An off-duty Auburn police officer has been arrested as a suspect of vehicular homicide in Seattle late Saturday evening.

His arrest was based on probable cause following a vehicle-pedestrian collision at the intersection of 15th Ave. W and Gilman Dr.

Police stated that the driver was speeding, lost control of his vehicle, and drove onto the sidewalk before the accident occurred.

He is now facing charges for investigation of vehicular homicide and driving under the influence.

Immediately following the incident, the officer was placed on administrative leave while an internal  investigation is currently being conducted.
