Washington Governor Jay Inslee and a handful of other Democrats on Tuesday gathered at a rally in Kerry Park to speak out against the potential overturning of Roe v. Wade.

“The governor is clearly wiping his slate clean of whatever was scheduled Tuesday. He went on a profane rant, and he really sounds upset here,” KTTH host Bryan Suits said about Inslee’s speech at the pro-abortion rights rally.

“I’m blown away by the choreography the other day, how quickly all these rallies happened, and the money that the parties made. Any other interpretation of yesterday is just naive, frankly,” Suits commented about the gathering.

Leaked reports Monday evening indicated the Supreme Court of the United States may consider overturning the country’s decades-old constitutional right to an abortion protected by the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling.

Local leaders, such as Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, were at the rally speaking about their abortions and support for pro-abortion rights.

“What yesterday was about was raising money for the DNC, while they’re holding signs that read, ‘End the filibuster. Expand the court. Codify Roe v. Wade.'”

Other attendees at Inslee’s rally included Attorney General Bob Ferguson, Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland, and the CEO of Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates Jennifer Allen.

Inslee recently signed the Affirm Washington Abortion Access Act of 2022, which near guarantees the ability of Washington abortion care providers to serve state travelers in seek of the medical procedure.
