Kitsap SWAT arrests armed Bremerton man upon sheriff’s discovery of body inside his home

A person is now in custody after barricading themselves with a rifle inside a home in Bremerton.

The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office also found a body inside the home on the 6,900 block of Old Military Road upon responding to reports of a disturbance.

The arrested man was barricaded in a separate room and initially refused to comply with the investigation.

A multi-agency response was summoned, including deputies, officers, detectives, and members of the SWAT Team.

Roads are closed between McWilliams and Fairgrounds.
