Bats have been found in people’s bedrooms in Thurston County, with one infected with rabies.

The health department says it’s the first rabid bat in Thurston County this year.

Three people have reported waking up to find bats in their rooms recently.

After similar reports in King County last summer, we learned that even if a person is not bitten, that kind of close contact is risky.

Former Seahawks linebacker Shaquem Griffin — arguably one of the most inspirational players in the NFL — has announced he’s retiring.

Griffin became the first player with only one hand to be drafted in the NFL.

In 2018, he was selected by the Seahawks, reuniting on the field with his twin brother Shaquill.

In a post on The Players Tribune, Shaquem said he’s leaving football to pursue philanthropic work.
