A warm day ahead, high temps are expected to reach 90 degrees.

Thursday will be the last uncomfortably hot day this week.

A heat advisory remains in effect until midnight with moderate heat risk across much of the interior, but the coast will remain cooler and in the 70s.

There is a slight chance of thunderstorms in the North Cascades, where we have the most instability. Onshore flow will increase Thursday night, bringing us some cooler air inland overnight into Friday.

The overnight low will be 62.

I think we’re all going to enjoy the nice cool down ahead! Highs Friday and into the weekend look like they’ll be in the mid-70s which is a little closer to normal. A cold front will be crossing through Friday night and some morning showers are possible on Saturday.

High pressure will build over our area next week and we’ll have some warmer temps once again. Expect low 80s to start your week.
