The Denver Broncos and quarterback Russell Wilson have agreed on a five-year, $245 million extension that includes $165 million in guarantees, a person with knowledge of the deal told The Associated Press on Thursday morning.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the extension, first reported by ESPN, had not been confirmed by the team or Wilson’s representatives.

Westbound SR-520 exit ramp opens to traffic

Good news for drivers headed into Seattle from the east side:

Starting Thursday morning, you’re able to take the east Roanoke exit from Westbound 520 for the first time in nearly two months.

The ramp was closed early this summer so construction crews could build a new ramp with a reversible bus and carpool lane, connecting 520 to the I-5 express lanes.

Watch for more construction closures next week.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 6 and 7, the exit to 520 from northbound I-5 will be closed.

Bellevue-based T-Mobile lays off employees following Sprint merger

It’s unclear how many jobs they cut, but Bellevue-based T-Mobile confirms it has laid off some engineering and network employees.

The Seattle Times reports it’s part of a restructuring following the company’s merger with Sprint two years ago.

A T-Mobile spokesperson tells the Times many of the affected workers will be offered other jobs within the company.

Seattle School’s teacher union begins strike vote

Teachers in the Seattle Public School District are deciding whether or not to authorize a strike.

The online voting process begins Thursday – with results announced Tuesday morning.

Many teachers tell us they need support with more teachers needed in schools.

Both the Seattle teachers and the school district say they will negotiate up until the scheduled start of school on Wednesday.
