The game between the Seattle Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons on Sunday was briefly paused when a drone flew over Lumen Field during the fourth quarter of play.
A similar incident occurred Saturday night over Husky Stadium as the University of Washington football team took on the Stanford Cardinal.
According to Fox broadcasters announcing Sunday’s Seahawks game, the drone at Husky Stadium belonged to the University of Washington Athletics department. Fox said the department lost connection with the drone and it went rogue.
An official with the UW Athletics department said on Sunday that the drone did not belong to its staff.
There’s no word on what caused the drone incident at Sunday’s Seahawks game.
The Seahawks and Falcons have had to clear the field temporarily in Seattle due to a drone flying over the field.
