A family who lost a child in a car crash is receiving love and support from their hometown.
15-year-old Ashley Tolosa Heredia was in a wreck Monday night in the Issaquah Highlands and died in the hospital.
Investigators said the crash could have been caused by street racing.
The family has called Issaquah home for 25 years. Ashley was a student at Issaquah High School.

“It really does mean a lot to us that everyone around here has been very helpful in every way possible,” said Kelly Tolosa Heredia, Ashley’s big sister.
Kelly also said the community has been there for the family as they grieve for Ashley, alongside support from Ashley’ friends.
“They’ve been around since the moment of the accident, dropping off flowers at both the alter and where the accident happened,” Kelly said.
This summer, the family held a quinceañera for Ashley. According to Kelly, it was the last big event attended by family and friends.
“It was something she really liked,” Kelly said. “Something she really wanted to do and something my parents did go all out for her to make her feel special. She looked like a little princess that night.”
The family has a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses.
